Hawaii 2026

Rachel and I were having a hard time making a fun plan for our 8th anniversary. In December Rachel stumbled upon a great deal through Marriot for a stay in Honolulu Hawaii at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel!

We decided to book the trip and enjoy a much deserved vacation to celebrate our anniversary, Christmas, and Valentines Day.

February 9th

We arrived in Honolulu on February 9th after a long day of travels. We were able to pick up our rental car and get settled into the hotel. We found a nice restaurant nearby at the Waikiki Food hall and enjoyed happy hour Mai Tai's.

We got to bed early as we adjusted time zones and had an early hike planned for the next day.

February 10th

On February 10th we woke up early to tackle the popular Diamond Head State Monument Hike. We got to the parking lot aroudn 6:15 am and it was already busy, there were a few sunrise tour buses that got there early.

Even with the crowds the views were great and an early morning hike is a great way to start the day.

After the hike we got back and showered and checked out the beach quick before heading over for an early dinner at Dukes for taco tuesday. They were excellent tacos!

We stayed around the pool for the rest of the day and enjoyed the Royal Hawaiian.
